The 10 most influential lawyers in the 24th edition are announced
According to the professional and general public, the most influential lawyers of this year are (listed in alphabetical order): Dr Sara Ahlin Doljak, Dr Matej Avbelj, Dr Miro Cerar, Dr Valentina Franca, Dr Janja Hojnik, Dr Klemen Jaklič, Dr Vlasta Nussdorfer, Zvjezdan Radonjić, Dr Miha Šepec and Dr Luka Martin Tomažič.
The 24th edition of the "10 Most Influential Lawyers" selection, traditionally held in two parts, has ended on IUS-INFO, the main Slovenian legal portal. Out of the twenty finalists, the ten lawyers who had received the most votes by 26 November, when the selection closed, were among the most influential. This year, four women lawyers are among the top ten. In general, lawyers who teach at faculties maintain a strong influence, with seven being selected this year.
In the first part of the selection process, the organisers received more than 60 different proposals, or names of Slovenian lawyers who, in the opinion of the legal profession and the general public, were particularly diligent and insightful in their professional work this year. In the second part, visitors to the portal could vote for one of the 20 finalists. This time around 7,000 votes were collected. It should be noted that each voter could only cast their vote once.
We also received a number of justifications for the votes, from which we could see that the nominated lawyers this year were particularly convincing in terms of their professionalism, integrity, principle, charity, courage and professionalism. As many of the selected lawyers come from academia, their excellent work at the faculties was also often highlighted. Source
