Professor of European law, Prorector at the New University in Slovenia and a Jeann Monnet Chair on Pluralism in the European Union (PluralEU). Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.

 

 

What I do?

Teaching

I am a full professor of European law with more than 15 years of experience in teaching on the graduate and post-graduate level.

 

Research and Publishing

I have led or participated in more than 10 national and international research projects in the field of EU law, democracy, rule of law, legal theory and human rights protection. My bibliography consists of more than 700 entries.

 

Consulting

As an editor in chief of the Commentary of the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia, I am a leading expert in Slovenian constitutional law, and have offered legal advice in the field of EU law, comparative constitutional law and human rights protection to the private and public sector alike.

It was a great honour to be elected as an ordinary member in Class V – Social Sciences, Law and Economics of the Academia Scientiarum et Artium Europaea on December 17, 2024.
